Walk-With-Me

Walk-With-Me is an artist led project to inspire people to walk, record and share their thoughts, images and experiences online. The site is dedicated to walking and the world around the walker.

Documentation of walks with thumbstick by Pete Bodenham If you've found one a thumbstick:

  • 1. Take it for a walk
  • 2. Leave a record of your walk on this site
  • 3. Leave the stick somewhere for it to find a new walker.

The thumbsticks are cut from hedgerows in West Wales, made by the artist Peter Bodenham. Sticks have been numbered and purposely placed in the world. The artist hopes individuals will steal these abandoned sticks, take them home, and be inquisitive and generous enough to engage with this project. The sticks and web site will hopefully inspire you, the temporary custodian of the stick, to take a walk; either a short familiar stroll, a long journey or even a life-fulfilling odyssey! On return please post something representative of your experiences, thoughts or observations onto this site.

This could be in the form of a short text, drawing or photograph. For more information about how to do this, please visit the Instructions page. The custodian is then asked to send the thumb stick back out into the world to be found and undertake further encounters and journeys.

Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

  • Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
  • Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
  • Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
